I'm no expert on the FE series, but I think it is generally best to promote at level 20 to get the most stat boosts possible. Blazing Sword seemed to have more than enough chapters to get most units to level 20 I think and Sacred Stones also allows you to train outside of chapters.

My 390 base dial with gold hands and polished case feels like a more ‘dressy piece’ and I started to look for an everyday Panerai. The 233 stood out for a few reasons. It was the first in-house movement (I think), has 44mm 1950 case .
The Panerai 233 is, without a doubt, my favourite Panerai. Here is a brief review of the watch, along with a potted history of Panerai. A skilful balance between vintage and strength. This Luminor is one of the rare 44 mm references equipped with the “1950” casing and with an ultra-rounded sapphire glass, characteristics hitherto reserved to the 47 mm limited serials such as the mythic Luminor 127. What causes that it not clear, because unlike an automatic that has a slipping mainspring bridle that prevents damage when you wind, a manual watch can be stressed by the user. So if this is a question of reliability of the design, or if this is operator induced failure is a question I can’t answer.
